Andre Agassi Joins JOOLA 2025 Pickleball Legends Tour In Vietnam
Tennis legend Andre Agassi made a high-profile appearance in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam as part of the JOOLA 2025 Pickleball Legends Tour on March 26, 2025. The event, held at the Rach Mieu Sports Complex, showcased Agassi's debut in the world of pickleball, where he joined top athletes in an exhibition match that captured the attention of fans.
At 54 years old, Agassi is making a mark in the pickleball community by seamlessly transitioning from his successful tennis career into this fast-growing sport. The former Grand Slam champion and Olympic gold medalist shared his excitement for the tour, saying: “Being on the ground in China and Vietnam to share the joy and passion that I feel for pickleball with the community is an opportunity I couldn’t pass up.”
The JOOLA Pickleball Legends Tour featured some of the biggest names in the pickleball world, including Ben Johns, Ana Bright, Tyson McGuffin, Collin Johns, Brooker Buckner, and Chao Yi (Zoey) Wang. After Ho Chi Minh City, the tour continued to Hanoi.
As pickleball rapidly grows in popularity across Asia, countries like Vietnam and China are becoming key markets for the sport. JOOLA CEO Richard Lee emphasized the company’s role in fostering this international expansion: “With Asia rapidly emerging as one of the sport’s fastest-growing markets, enthusiasm for pickleball has reached new heights, and JOOLA is excited to be a part of that growth.”
Agassi’s entry into the sport only strengthens the connection between tennis and pickleball, attracting new fans and players alike. It wouldn’t be a surprise if we start to see more athletes participating in such exhibitionary matches.
